Summer Vision Quest

Eryri National Park, North Wales,

July 18th - 29th 2027

The Vision Quest is an ancient ceremony to mark and move on from one life transition to another. This Vision Quest will take place in the Eryri National Park mountains in North Wales.

The Venue

Our base is a lovingly restored Barn using natural materials, and although ancient, the barn has a modern feel of space and beauty. It nestles in the Nanmor valley, surrounded by ancient woodland, with views of Moel Ddu. It’s a safe and restful retreat base to be immersed in nature while preparing for your Vision Quest

Included is a well-equipped kitchen/dinning and a camp kitchen

Several bedrooms to share, plus land for camping.

Underfloor heating.

Two bathrooms.

We move out to a base camp in the mountains for your solo time on the fourth day, then return to this lovely place for the final two days.

The group will live as a small community; therefore, you are asked to be responsible for yourselves. You provide your own food and cook for yourselves.  (Closer to the start date, we will send the address list for you to plan meals together, or alone.)

Porthmadog is the closest small town with a range of shops; unfortunately, the health food store has closed down, but there are camping shops and large supermarkets.

Cost – £1,150, including a £250 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit (unless the Vision Quest is cancelled). The fee includes all accommodation, camping (in your own tent), and the welcome meal. I aim to keep the fee as fair as possible for everyone while ensuring the Vision Quest remains sustainable to offer. If the cost would genuinely make attendance impossible, please contact me before booking. I am happy to consider requests in exceptional circumstances.

To Enrol

You are welcome to contact me with any questions and to talk over the whole process.

To secure a place, you need to send a non-refundable deposit along with a letter about yourself, your past, and any issues you carry right now, and why you wish to do this course. You will then be sent further details and a full equipment list. Plus the necessary medical forms, travel suggestions and a map to the venue. Our group size is always small to enhance the quality and to experience the depth of our work together. (So be mindful that places are limited).

Logistics

Arrival is on Sunday afternoon, the 18th July, between 3 pm and 6 pm.  This will give you time to settle in, pitch your tent if necessary and find your feet on this land. A welcome vegetarian dinner will be provided at 7 pm. This will be our first gathering, with the opportunity to go over the logistics and form of the Vision Quest. (If you have any dietary needs, please let me know).

The ceremonial gate will open on Monday morning at 10 am.

We will finish by 5 pm on Thursday, 29th July. It will be possible to stay over and leave early on the 31st.

Travel

If you are coming by car, there is plenty of parking available. Directions will be sent one month before the start date. The water of the valley stream

Never shouts at the tainted world

Purify yourself!'

But naturally, as it is

Shows how it is done
