About the venue

Gilfach Goch Farm is sheltered and secluded, nestling into the hillside with panoramic views over the sea and the Lleyn Peninsula. It is approached along a 1/2 mile private shale drive.

Our venue is ‘Ty Gwennol’ a recent conversion of 3 barns dating from the 17th century. The place is light and spacious with a fully fitted farm house kitchen/diner, with washing machine, tumble drier and full sized fridge freezer. The barn has a small private garden which is a quiet still place to sit looking out over farmland and the sea beyond with beautiful stunning sunsets.

We provide this as a base and home. Our group will live as a small community and you are asked to be responsible for yourselves. You will therefore provide your own food and cooking. Penrhyndeudraeth (4 miles) has a range of small shops including a post office and a garage. Porthmadog (8 miles) has a wider range of shops including camping shops and a large supermarket with some organic food.

You are welcome to contact me with questions or queries concerning any of the courses. To secure a place you need to send a non-refundable deposit along with a letter saying why you wish to do this course. You will then be sent details of the equipment you will need and any necessary medical forms, plus travel suggestions and map to the cottage. Our group size is always small (eight - ten) to enhance the quality and experience the depth of our work together. (So be mindful that places are limited).
