I am a wilderness rites of passage guide, a carrier of council and a healer. At Ancient Healing Ways I offer courses in a ceremonial form that unites the 'old ways' with modern healing methods. From early years of life, a twisted spine and extreme anxiety lead me to explore the Alexander Technique. I discovered a method that connected me to the wholeness of my body and reached into the depths in my soul. Twenty years ago I trained as an Alexander Teacher. Since this time I have developed my work to support those who suffer from pain and trauma both physical and emotional, and have also taken this work into hospices and to the dying in their own homes. I have run workshops in many types of organizations from business to educational and trained Alexander Technique teachers in both the UK and the USA .
I have also introduced 'The Way of Council', an individual and group practice of deep listening, across the UK and in Europe. This heartfull, truthful communication process complements the hands on work and has been helpful and healing in small community centres, the world of business and education, therapeutic caring professions, hospices, pain clinics and spiritual groups.
The work I offer is a simple, authentic expression of my commitment to healing birthed out of my own life experience. Following my own deepest questions and longings, I have stepped through the limitations imposed by categories and systems, to continuously sit on the edge of my own becoming. I am committed, as a healing resource, to those who find themselves on an edge seeking to connect to their own deepest pathways of feeling, questioniong and knowing.
My pleasure and passion is in writing poetry, and I am currently working on my first book. Living in North Wales, UK. I offer retreat courses in the solitude of the Snowdonian wilderness as well as travel to work in different locations including the U.S. and Europe .

As sun shines, and rain falls
The river flows
And mountains become themselves
Out of the earth
As we become ourselves
